Famous TV presenter Monta Mino gropes female co-host live on television
You may wonder why there is so much chikan (groping) in Japan, especially on the trains…
Well, one answer could lie in the fact that even respected and veteran male TV presenters feel that it is okay to grope their female co-host’s ass live on television!
Yes, that’s what Mino Monta did. See the video below. You can just make out his much younger co-host trying to keep his hands off her.
Bizarrely it appears to be during a segment about a community affected by the 2011 Tohoku disaster, which wouldn’t normally be the kind of story that would inspire men to start groping the nearest female to them.
Monta Mino (69), though, is different. He is “Mr Television” and has the world record for having recorded the most live TV hours in a single week.
Either the strain of his work is getting to him or his advanced age, but this is pretty incredible, even for a culture as chauvinist as Japan.
The incident happened during the morning broadcast of Asazuba on TBS on August 30th. His unlucky victim was Akiyo Yoshida, who is a buxom 25 years old.
This isn’t the first time. In 2007 a fellow presenter resigned over claims she had been sexually harassed by Mino, plus there was another rumor in 2012.
No official announcement or response has been made yet. Perhaps he will finally be forced to resign and his female co-hosts will be safe from his wandering hands?

This type of sexual harassment won’t be tolerated in the West, the old fart would have his ass fired on the spot. He thinks it’s fun and games, but she is in a lower position in power and has no recourse. My suggestion for the lady? Laxatives in his morning coffee. If you can’t fight an open campaign, then guerilla tactics is what you’re left with. Make the senior poop on air, see who would be laughing then!
