Groper on train jumps from window on moving train on Tokyo Odakyu Odawara line
We often talk about chikan on Tokyo Kinky. There is a strange subculture in Japan where certain men think it’s okay to grope women on trains. In fact, there are even certain “clubs” that organize these kinds of mass groping sessions on public transport.
But if you get found out it can bring your fantasies crashing down.
That’s what happened to one 39-year-old man on the Odakyu Odawara line when it was passing through Kawasaki, just outside Tokyo on Thursday night.
Around 9 pm a woman on the train caught his hands wandering and exposed him. The humiliated man, whether to try to escape or in a shame-filled suicide bid, opened the train window and launched himself out between Ikuta and Mukogaoka-yuen stations.
His getaway or his suicide attempt was not a success, though. He was found in a car park of an apartment block about 50 meters away.
With severe injuries to his head and other parts of his body, he was taken to hospital. No doubt he will face police charges as well as a large invoice from the train company demanding compensation his action brought to the train running times that evening.
