Gravure idol Masora Kanae faces male intruder in home with knife
The life of a female idol isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
You don’t get wealth or riches unless your agency deems you worth a higher salary.
You don’t get drugs — they’re strictly taboo in the Japanese entertainment industry, at least on paper.
And you don’t even get sex, since your agency tries to control who you sleep with.
You also have to deal with crazy fans.
Remember the saw attack on two members of AKB48?
One idol even had her social media account hacked so that it started spewing out dirty content.
Well, there are also stalkers, as mother-of-dragons Mitsu Dan has also discovered.
Gravure idol Masora Kanae recently described how a man holding what seemed to be a blade snuck into her Tokyo condo via the balcony in mid-July.
She was confronted with the intruder and ran out of the apartment, getting help from a neighbor.
When she first screamed, the man apparently called her by her real name (Masora Kanae is a stage name) and tried to communicate with her.
The day after this July 12th incident, police said another man snuck into the apartment of an AV actress in Setagaya ward.
Ami Kasai woke up at 6 a.m. to find a man sitting next to her bed, watching her. “Do you know who I am?” he asked her. He then soon fled, though was caught on surveillance camera.
Police suspect the two incidents may be linked.
