14% of Japanese women “expect sex on first date”
You can judge how well you have hit it off with a new partner as well as a lot about his or her character by how intimate you get on your first date.
According to a dubious sex survey, 14.3% of Japanese women “expect” a first date to end with a sleep-over and sex.
Of course, “expect” is not “want”, so women are probably factoring in pressure from the man, his expectations, and also the influence of booze.
The survey by My Navi is hardly represents the broadest of research: it asked just 300 women over June and July through an online survey. And of course, while 14.3% may say a little high — let’s keep in mind that 85% of respondents said they weren’t expecting hankypanky.
(Also, the survey actually phrased it as “bed in”, i.e. a sleep-over. So some women expecting a quick trip to love hotel for 1-2 hours might be included in the “no”s.)
The women could also leave comments on the reason for their responses.
One 41-year-old working in finance takes no prisoners: “It’s the first thing to get sorted. Do we match? Does he have any strange habits? You have to get to the bottom of that early on.”
A 26-year-old said: “I’m now in my late twenties so I don’t worry about these small things.”
While a 29-year-old said: “I only go on dates with people are think are good [choices].”
