What happens to a porn shop in Japan when a major earthquake strikes?
Over the weekend, a large earthquake struck off the coast of Japan. Here in Tokyo, we felt some pretty bad jolts for some time on Saturday night, but it was far worse for the northeast of the country.
Social media was soon awash with images of fallen bookshelves, smashed plants, collapsed and broken furniture.
One set of images that caught our eye on Twitter were these two photos of the insane disorder wrought upon a porn shop in Koriyama, Fukushima.
The manager of Book Fan 24 shared two pictures of the shelves emptied and countless numbers of DVDs and adult manga piled up on the floor. While the damage is probable minimal, all the DVDs would need to be sorted and re-shelved in the right order (presumably by performer or studio).
The adult store also houses an official Tenga outlet, and naturally even the onacups did not escape the effects of the quake.
The poster’s gumption also made the post memorable, noting in a reply that he would strive to fix things up and then be back open for business so that the local guys have a place to go!
He soon posted pictures showing that things were back to their ordered state again. And the Lord saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.
We have a vested interest in such adult affairs but we weren’t alone in finding the images fascinating. As of writing, the original post has been liked over 104,000 times and retweeted 25,000 times.
In the past, we have also written about the effects of other natural disasters in Japan, such as the typhoon that made panties fly.
In the wake of an earthquake in Hokkaido, a soapland offered its facilities (minus the ladies) to residents who may not be able to use their own baths.
