Shoko Nakagawa celebrates 20 years in showbiz with new photo book
Is it something in the air? A kind of “comeback vapor” that’s encouraging all these lovely ladies to re-enter the limelight?
Another one has come out of the woodwork: in the wake of high-profile comebacks by the likes of Yukina Kinoshita, Shizuka Nakamura, and Ai Shinozaki, we are very pleased to welcome the return of Shoko Nakagawa.
The 36-year-old tarento, voice actress, and singer is celebrating 20 years of her showbiz career with a new photo book.
Famously short at 155 cm (a smidge over 5 feet!) and a proud owner of a “duck-bill mouth,” the cutie and firm fan favorite has been largely absent from our lives for some time, despite cultivating a whole generation of male fantasies back in the 2000s. Like many celebrities of late, especially though whose mainstream success is fading due to age or other reasons, she has focused on maintaining a following on YouTube. Some of her videos have hundreds of thousands of views, which bodes well for her photo book (her first in a decade).
Shokotan, who still looks stunning even as she approaches 40, will release the new photo book from Kodansha on June 8, with a title as yet to be announced. She has promised fans will get to see “more of Shoko than ever” in the lingerie and bikini shoot. We can’t wait.
