Woman arrested for introducing high school student to man in Kabukicho
Just a few days after we reported on the ongoing police crackdown in Kabukicho over drugs, prostitution, and delinquency.
These reports appear literally almost daily now. Hosts arrested for extracting debt payments in dubious ways, such as introducing women to pimps. Young women arrested for soliciting on the street. It’s a never-ending conveyor belt of moral outrage, dutifully reported in the mainstream media.
The most shocking stories are those that involve underage girls: some hosts are so desperate for money and so unscrupulous that they exploit minors.
The latest story is in a similar vein.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police have announced the arrest of several people for prostituting a 15-year-old high school student in Kabukicho.
The arrested include a 21-year-old woman called Towa Sakayori, who is reported to be unemployed. She is suspected of introducing the high schooler to male clients in Kabukicho in October last year. Sakayori is accused of violating the child welfare law.
The student is described as one of the “Toyoko kids,” the delinquents and runaways who gather around the main plaza in Kabukicho at night.
Also arrested for child prostitution was 36-year-old Akito Iida, who Sakayori allegedly met first as a prospective client for herself. However, Iida wanted a “younger girl” and Sakayori is accused of finding the girl in Kabukicho and acting as a go-between for ¥30,000.
Sakayori has claimed, “I introduced them but don’t know what they then did together at the hotel.”
Iida has denied the allegations. He is said to have paid the high schooler ¥70,000 for their session, which would seem a lot to someone of her age. It is easy to see why compensated dating and papakatsu sugar daddy dating would be attractive to them.
Another person, unnamed in media reports, was also arrested.
The high school student says she was introduced to around 15 people in this way over the course of two months.

@The Dude
Thanks for the concern. We put out an announcement on social media earlier in the week. We are on vacation, so no or few articles for a short while.

What’s up? You usually insert “moral panic” into these articles, before describing behavior that absolutely justifies aforementioned moral panic.
