Ex-HKT48 idol Miku Tanaka goes semi-nude in second photo book

Earlier in the year, we reported on former HKT48 idol Miku Tanaka’s attempts to sex up her image and establish her credentials as an actor with a role in the TV drama Cinderella Complex that involved a steamy sex scene.

She stopped short of doing actual nudity, which doesn’t surprise us, but Miku Tanaka seems to be continuing this strategy with a new shoot that is probably her most explicit to date.

She does the “hand bra” (tebura) pose, which has become a trope (and almost a cliché) of gravure semi-nude shoots. But who’s complaining when the results look this good, with Miku Tanaka’s breasts beautifully squeezed by her cupping hands?

There are also some nice shots of her naked back. She wears white panties the whole time, though, and we think they definitely missed a trick in not choosing a thong. That said, the slinky idol looks really stunning in black lingerie.

The shoot is featured in her second photo book, Kimamani (Unrestrained), which came out at the end of last week. She also released two digital photo books earlier this year as well as a calendar, so 2024 is clearly a really big year for her.

Miku Tanaka was a member of the Fukuoka-based HKT48 from 2013 to 2023. Now aged 23, Mikurin (as she is known to fans) is keen to build a second career after her tenure as a music idol.

It’s a tried-and-tested formula: if you want to sell more copies of your photo book, show more flesh. Fromer SKE48 idol Ruka Kitano just demonstrated this with her debut photo book, in which she shows plenty of side boob and butt. Mikurin’s photo book is sadly tamer but she’s also a bigger star than Kitano.

Next month, she is part of the cast of a late-night NTV drama led by the model Riko.
