Former AKB48 Erena Ono whores herself out to fans to sell CDs

Want to canoodle with a former AKB48 idol? Just go to one of Erena Ono’s “handshaking” events.

Such meet-and-greet sessions are controversial staples of the AKB48 itinerary, and since graduating from the idol supergroup in 2010, Erena has been using similar tactics to entice fans to buy more CDs.

After purchasing a copy of her new album (Erena’s first solo release), you were allowed to meet Erena — and it seems she is being very rewarding these days if you get the three editions of the CD. At an event over several days last week, such fans had their photos taken with a Cheki camera.

Such promos are not so unusual — but not even AKB48 and all their hypocritical sexuality went this far. Erena seemed to have no qualms about getting into some shockingly intimidate poses, including practically kissing other girls.

Japan’s netizens have naturally responded with outrage that Erena is essentially now a prostitute and that she should just become a porn star.

It does beggar the question: How many CDs do you have to purchase before Erena will actually kiss you? And then how many before she sleeps with you? I’m sure there are otaku will to purchase the requisite amounts.
