AKB48’s Yuki Kashiwagi gets married… to a robot
Kind of.
Yuki Kashiwagi’s android copy, Yukirin, is getting married to another robot, Frois, a robot designed by Maywa Denki in the likeness of a bath stool.
The marriage ceremony is taking place at Aoyama Cay in central Tokyo on June 27th.
Perhaps to calm down assuage any otaku, Yukirin has been rechristened Roborin, but to all intents and purposes she appears to be the same robot.
Tickets cost ¥10,000 and are limited to 100 people.
Is human-robot marriage (and sex!) now only a short step away?!
