Arrested YouTuber Yu Hirose makes porn debut

Turning notoriety into profit is an age-old trick, and 31-year-old YouTuber Yu Hirose has done it.

After the sexy YouTuber, who boasts over 450,000 subscribers, got arrested for public indecency for live-streaming nude sex acts on FC2, she has made a comeback. And she’s decided to go the whole hog by doing porn.

Her debut, a 131-minute AV (LZDQ00025) from Lezre!, came out on August 20 (streaming) and August 23 (physical release). She is credited by her online name, Yu Hirose (広瀬ゆう).

Form the looks of things, she stays masked throughout proceedings, which seem to involve a bit of lesbian hanky-panky during a game of Twister. The mask is nothing to do with Covid, but a reference to her pre-pandemic YouTuber and FC2 content (in which she is always masked), though her face and real name (Aya Sato) were exposed at the time of her arrest three years ago.

The refreshing thing about such amateur debuts and crossovers is that the performers don’t have “perfect” bodies, and it’s nice to see this kind of physique on display here. We are not sure, however, if Hirose’s AV involves actual penetrative sex, which would make her debut an anti-climax indeed (and no doubt put a serious dent in its potential sales).

On her YouTube channel, Yu Hirose currenly posts videos about everything from horse racing to food, though also throws in sex-themed ones every now and then (like one about ejaculating in someone’s mouth, posted in August). Gambling is a recurrent subject, since she loves betting and casinos. The days when she posted videos about her panties seem over.

But she posts sexier content like live streams on her Fantia channel, and offers DVDs and photos for sale.

She was supposedly working in Tokyo as some kind of dental nurse but was then employed at an advertising company. She was, however, making money through her online content.

She was arrested in June 2019 at the age of 28, just after returning from a casino trip to South Korea. The FC2 live stream resulted in 12 arrests because the sex and nudity was uncensored.

She was released in July after paying a fine of ¥300,000, apparently the maximum possible for public indecency.

In 2019, the media reported that she had made a cool ¥70 million from her live-streaming, though we find this figure hard to believe (even after paying taxes, she wouldn’t need to resort to porn in 2022, unless she gambled all the money away). Either way, that’s the total figure and some have estimated that her take-away cut would be more like ¥30 million after FC2 received its share, plus that cut would need to be shared with her collaborators, and any production costs subtracted.

Hirose started making FC2 live streams in March 2016, charging viewers between ¥39 and ¥600 per minute.

In September 2019, she apparently posed for a nude photo shot in the magazine Weekly Spa! (though the only images from the issue that we can find online are not nude). She soon returned to making YouTube videos but presumably the loss of income, now that she wasn’t streaming sex videos on FC2, has hit her hard.

There are plenty of recent examples of Japanese YouTubers making forays into porn. We can think of another somewhat similar case: Miwa Higashimori gained notoriety for her drunkard antics during a live TV broadcast and tried to exploit that to launch a short-lived career as a gravure idol.
