Ayana Shiramoto appears nude in The Box Man.

The 2024 film, which is adapted from Kobo Abe’s modern classic, is a typically weird story about a man who lives inside a box. That’s basically the whole plot.

Shiramoto plays a nurse who develops a kind of relationship with the protagonist.

She walks around nude in several scenes, with lots of shots of her breasts and butt.

There is one somewhat conventional sex scene where the two undress in front of each other and then embrace. We then see her lying on the floor naked.

But the really weird scenes involve sexual activity while the guy is still inside his box and Shiramoto’s character is outside, with physical contact limited to the slot in the cardboard.

Ayana Shiramoto is a 22-year-old with a number of credits as a child actor, including on Kamen Rider, and is now developing a career as an adult in both TV shows and movies. She won the role through an audition, competing against 200 other actors.

The Box Man is only rated PG-12, which feels a bit low, and is directed by Gakuryu Ishii, known for cult classics like Burst City and Crazy Thunder Road.
