Call girl service in Japan exploits coronavirus for marketing opportunities
We wrote recently about some of the ways that the coronavirus pandemic has affected the adult industry in Japan.
We didn’t talk about prostitution much except for the closure of Tobita Shinchi, a famous red-light district in Osaka, and outbreaks associated with Kabukicho in Tokyo.
It’s a sure thing that people aren’t going out to red-light districts or brothels, but what about other types of fuzoku services such as delivery health?
Well, it seems that call girls are still available and may even be busier than usual as lots more people hang around at home with little to do except think about sex.
Some call girl services, at least, are inevitably trying to market themselves in such a way as to cash in on the current crisis.
One delivery health service in Funabashi, Chiba (just east of Tokyo), was offering “cluster” and “lockdown” discounts (38% off! 60 minutes for ¥10,000), which may not actually sound so enticing.
What is enticing, though, is “Koronatan Insei” (コロナたん★陰性) a 20-year-old young lady available for hire from the service.
With a name that translates roughly as “Miss Corona Negative,” the G-cup stunner may not be a cure or protection against the virus, but she will surely help take your mind off its threat.
The Funabashi delivery healthy service was operating under a name meaning “Novel Pussy Virus Attack! Penis Vaccine Please” (新型オメコウイルス襲来!ワクチンポください) and the tagline “Sexual desire pandemic” (性欲パンデミック).
As the pandemic outbreak in Japan has grown more serious over the past week, the cheeky service seemed to change its name to the tamer JD Gal, though the URL still reveals the original name. Koronatan Insei is also no longer found on the website.
Perhaps this marketing campaign was a little too provocative for the current times.
