Chiba policeman arrested for kidnapping teenaged girl in love hotel
Charges have been dropped against a police officer from Matsudo in Chiba who had been arrested for showing a police ID to an underage girl to try to smuggle her into a love hotel.
The twenty-six-year old man had been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping with indecent intent.
The girl with Kazunori Ohara was just 17 years old. He apparently stopped her on her way home in Chiba and asked her to come with him to discuss something about enjo kosai.
He was not wearing his uniform at the time but he did show his actual police ID. He managed to get her to the hotel lobby but not into a room, and in the end there was no assault. After her parents made a complaint, the hotel’s cameras sealed Ohara’s fate.
It has also been alleged that a police officer had used the same tactic to lure girls in the area three other occasions in the past.
