Comiket 105 attendees grope female game character breasts and butt at Neowiz booth
Comiket was held on December 29 and December 30 in Tokyo, and attracted 300,000 attendees — the most since the COVID pandemic.
It’s a welcome sign that Comic Market is back in rude health after the grassroots cosplay and doujin event seemed to be on the decline both in terms of attendance and demographic, with fears that participants were aging and becoming increasingly male.
Initial analysis of this edition’s numbers suggests that half of attendees were in their twenties.
It certainly is a male-centric event, though, and booths like Neowiz’s do little to dispel this reputation.
The Korean game publisher’s booth at Comiket was very hands-on — literally.
Attendees were allowed to grope the breasts and ass of a female character from the RPG BrownDust2, as Game Watch reported.
The booth included merchandise currently available to order and there’s no prize for guessing which made the biggest impact: a life-sized mousepad of Eclipse’s butt and another of her breasts.
The two items are only available from Soft Garage in limited numbers, costing ¥30,800 and ¥36,300 each, respectively, and shipping from March.
The Neowiz booth also featured cosplayer AkoPai dressed as Eclipse and Chihiro Sento dressed as Eustia, another character from the game. The Korean producer and illustrator from the game were at the venue too.
Of course, as readers will no doubt have already realized, a far more successful and sure-fire way to attract visitors to the booth would have been to allow them to grope the boobs and buttocks of Chihiro Sento and AkoPai!
