Ex-AKB48 idol Yuka Masuda opens legs wide as porn star in upcoming second season of The Naked Director

We were already excited about the upcoming second season of the Netflix Japanese drama The Naked Director because of the pedigree of the first season, which lived up to its promise of the porn industry premise and then some with awesome nudity and sex scenes galore.

Then came news that the singer Mariya Nishiuchi had been cast as a porn star, offering the tantalizing prospect that she would make her nude debut in the series, which deals with the career of legendary adult video director and producer Toru Muranishi.

Now comes a trailer and we are delighted to see former AKB48 idol Yuka Masuda starring as a porn actress clad suggestively in a yukata — and opening her legs wide in a very, very suggestive way. Will she also do nude sex scenes in the new season, which comes out in Japan from June 24?

Masuda, as long-time readers will now, left the group in 2012 in disgrace after an affair. Now 29, Masuda tried to make a gravure comeback with a photo book in 2017, though that did not seem to get very far. But this role in The Naked Director should give her faltering career a decent boost, especially if she rewards fans with nudity.

A fellow former AKB48 idol, Ami Tomita, went on to star in a number of high-profile nude roles, including in the first season of The Naked Director.

The second season continues to star Takayuki Yamada as Muranishi as well as Misato Morita as Kaoru Kuroki.
