Fetish photography shows by Ryosuke Handa, Yuria highlight butts, thighs, and knee hollows
A new fetish photography show opens at Todays Gallery Studio in Asakusa, Tokyo, on September 2nd. Running until September 25th, the simply named “Butts and Knee Hollow” features the work of photographer Ryosuke Handa.
Admission costs ¥500, though visitors under 3 are free… so bring your kids?
Handa, you may recall, is the photographer with a penchant for shooting in black and white, and who is somewhat obsessed with shooting butts and hips… and we don’t blame him.
Last year we reported on another one dedicated to Japanese girls’ thighs, also at Todays Gallery Studio. That show, featuring the work of Yuria, was also held in April and May. It has been touring and is now coming back to Tokyo this autumn for a run in Shibuya Marui from September 3rd to September 19th. Admission costs ¥600.
So September is truly fetish month for photography fans in Tokyo!
There seems to be a thing for these fetish photography shows. A photographer has an interest and just makes their whole career of it. Think of Yuki Aoyama and his series of schoolgirls portraits, or Manabu Koga and his underwater ladies in knee-high socks. You would think these people might get bored?
