Former AKB48 idol and porn star Risa Naruse (Haruna Aisaka) marries comedian

We have spilled much digital ink on this blog talking about what happens to idols from AKB48 and its sister groups, taking an interest (for obvious reasons) especially in the young ladies who go on to have careers in porn.

But what about those same singers-turned-porn stars after they are done with their adult video careers? For some, it’s a short stint in the competitive world of JAV. For others, like Yua Mikami, they enjoy years at the very top of the industry.

But all things must come to an end. What do they do next?

Well, in the case of former AKB48 idol Risa Naruse (who worked in JAV as Haruna Aisaka), they do the next logical thing: marry a celebrity.

In her case, it’s the 34-year-old comedian Manabu Takeuchi of the duo Kaminari.

Though the marriage was widely reported in the mainstream media after Takeuchi posted images of the wedding (at the prestigious Imperial Hotel, Tokyo) on social media on September 17, his bride was usually described as a regular woman (i.e., not someone from the entertainment world). In Takeuchi’s posts, his wife’s face was not shown.

Netizens, however, have pointed out that she is none other than the former AKB idol Risa Naruse (and porn star Haruna Aisaka), now aged 29. After performing in AKB48 from 2007 until 2009, Naruse made her debut as Aisaka in 2013, performing until 2017 and then again briefly in 2019. Naruse also posted pics of the wedding, though with the face of her husband covered, but the similarities were clear to anyone who compared the images.

Celebrities at the wedding include AKB alumni Asuka Kuramochi, Reina Fujie, and Amina Sato.

This union perhaps shows that even after the travails of years in AKB48, followed by a career in porn, you can still find happiness.

Strangely, searching in Japanese for the pair brings up results for news article headlines that mysteriously change when clicked and viewed, suggesting that the reports originally noted that Takeuchi’s partner was Naruse/Aisaka but that pressure from his agency or some other factor caused the articles to be updated (in the Japanese media, updates and corrections are rarely explicitly noted in a news article).
