Former porn star Anri Sakaguchi arrested again

Some stories are stranger than fiction and Anri Sakaguchi’s is almost one such tale.

The 28-year-old, whose real name is Mizue Nozawa, has added multiple hyphenates to her name over the past few of years as her life and career has taken all kinds of twists and turns.

The daughter of a well-known actress and a one-time tarento herself, she made her unexpected adult video debut in 2016 to pay off her huge debts. This would be sensational enough for most people but Anri Sakaguchi is not most people.

She was then arrested in 2017 for attempted extortion of a bar host with whom she was involved. She had apparently demanded money from him in exchange for an intimate photo. The case was later dropped by police.

Though she subsequently announced she had quit AV after a handful of releases (under the name ANRI), she then worked as a hostess, stripper, and even a call girl.

And whatever she is doing now, it’s clearly not keeping her out of trouble.

Her alleged crime this time is quite minor and under ordinary circumstances it would be peculiar for someone to receive the perp walk treatment. She was arrested on trespassing charges after she entered the property of a boyfriend — reportedly the same bar host from the previous incident — who did not want her there. This happened one morning earlier this week after a dispute following a taxi ride home. She apparently chased after the man to get the taxi fare back.

Her arrest by Tokyo Metropolitan Police made national news. We’d be surprised if they actually prosecute her over such a minor incident but, regardless, it’s only the latest development in Sakaguchi’s ongoing troubles.

With new legal bills and the like surely to pay in the near future, is a return to adult video in the offing?
