Former porn star Yui Akane arrested for obscenity
The ostensibly retired adult video star Yui Akane (朱音ゆい) has been arrested on an obscenity charge.
The 30-year-old hottie was arrested with the scout Komei Hisada, 34, on suspicion of broadcasting nude videos in breach of obscenity laws.
This looks like a case of the police cracking down on an independent operator. People trying to make a quick buck by streaming or distributing porn online, bypassing the mainstream commercial platforms and probably infringing on censorship laws, always run the risk of attracting too much attention from rivals and authorities.
According to Tokyo Metropolitan Police, Hisada started broadcasting live streams from around December 2017 and has made around ¥13 million in sales to date. Viewers paid ¥600 to view one minute’s worth of video footage.
Described in media reports by her real name Ai Tsunezumi (常住愛), Akane was arrested with Hisada for helping to make the videos that were available on FC2, which has become somewhat notorious for illegal content. While Hisada has claimed he gave instructions not to expose any actual nudity in the video streams, Akane has apparently admitted the charges and explained that she did it just to make ends meet.
The G-cup beauty Akane was active as an AV performer between 2011 and 2012, though it seems she has continued working like this on the periphery of the industry.
