Forty-year-old seiyuu Rie Tanaka stuns netizens with provocative lingerie shoot

Seiyuu (voice actress) Rie Tanaka has stunned the Internet by tweeting preview images from her latest lingerie shoot.

No stranger per se to sexy shoots, this is nonetheless probably the most provocative the 1979-born idol has got as far as we know. Netizens are delighted by what they saw and Tanaka’s original post has received thousands of retweets and likes.

We’re not sure where or when the final images from the shoot will appear — a photo book, a weekly magazine? — but the brief behind-the-scenes footage suggests the photographer was very lucky to get so close to her slinky body.

The shoot was done in a pristine, sunny room with a white bed that accentuated Rie’s slender body and barely-there lingerie.

Now that she has firmly entered “ara-four” (forty-ish) jukujo territory, it’s even sexier. Recently divorced (since 2018) from her much-older husband, her numerous voice work credits include Mobile Suit Gundam as well as J-pop releases back in the 2000s.

As she enters her forties, can we expect Rie to go all-out and reward her fans after years of waiting? Presumably not if she has plenty of voice work lined up, but perhaps so if her coffers need a boost now that she is single again.
