Busty video game billboard in Akihabara removed for being too sexy
Horny otaku in Akihabara will have to go somewhere else for their kicks — because they can no longer stand on the street and admire buxom anime ladies.
Perhaps in another sign that Tokyo is becoming less tolerant, not least as the behemoth of 2020 looms large, a billboard in the gaming and anime subculture district has been removed following complaints that it was too sexy.
Installed on November 1st, the billboard was an ad for the video game Motto! Haramase! Honoo no Oppai Chou Ero *Heart Mark* App Gakuen! (もっと!孕ませ!炎のおっぱい超エロ♡アプリ学園!) — translating, roughly, as “More! Conception! Blazing Boobs Super Erotic *Heart Mark* App Academy!”
Well, given that this is a game with boobs in the title, it shouldn’t shock anyone that the publicity images also emphasize busty ladies.
But this was apparently too much of a good thing for the blushing citizens who frequent the station area. People made complaints about both the image but also the use of suggestive words like “haramase.”
The controversial billboard was removed after the authorities investigated a few days after it first appeared and found the ad to be contravening an allegation against protecting children from bad influences, since there is a school located nearby. It was promptly taken down and replaced by an ad for a different game. Perhaps the bods behind the marketing for Motto! Haramase! won’t be in too much trouble with their overlords, though, since the issue has resulted in a lot of extra exposure for the game — well beyond its regular Akihabara niche.
A few years ago, a billboard was removed in Nichome for being too, well, gay. A less sexy version replaced it, though this time at least it was advertising the same thing.

Westerners (Californians, etc.) are really doing their best to completely ruin Japan and make it as boring and dull as the West has become.
