Idol group predia courts controversy with nude music video
As the old adage says, if you want to get more fans — strip, strip, strip.
The music idol group predia seems to have listened. For the music video of its tenth single release, “Shalala Niagara,” the members of the group stripped nude and covered their breasts with their hands (the classic “tebura” hand bra pose) and paint.
The video for “Shalala Niagara” was available on YouTube but has since mysterious disappeared, snagged by an age-restriction issue. YouTube designated it 18-only, so the six-member group’s management decided to take it offline on November 6th, when the single was released. In other words, the video got banned.
A new version will apparently be released, edited from anodyne footage of a concert in Yokohama this month.
It follows predia’s earlier release, “Naked,” whose music video was mostly tame in spite of the name.
