Japanese porn legend Taka Kato retires
He is famed as the man with the midas touch, who can make a woman orgasm just by a few expert twists of his fingers. He is Taka Kato, the biggest man in Japanese porn.
And he is throwing in the towel.
After 8,000 women and 10,000 titles to his credit (talk about notches on the bed post!), the sprightly 54-year-old is retiring from Japan’s most productive industry.
Along the way he has starred in a documentary about Japanese male porn stars and produced his own finger vibrator attachment, in a dog-eat-dog competitive industry dominated by the girls — literally, there are said to be 10,000 regularly working female performers vs. just a few dozen bonafide male stars — Kato has led the pack for years.
His forte was his handiwork. The “Goldfinger” could make women ejaculate/squirt (shiofuki) simply by deft use of his two fingers on his right hand.
If his life seems pretty enviable, keep in mind that Kato is unmarried and apparently without a girlfriend Kato married a fellow porn star in the 1990s. Sex has likely almost always been “professional” and while you can have fun at work, it will still ultimately be work.
At the end of 2013 Kato retired from Japanese pornography, though he stresses that it is not because he cannot get it up any more. He will no doubt have a long second career making appearances in events or in the media. We haven’t seen the last of him, that’s for sure.
