Japanese porn star Minamo models Christmas lingerie for Ravijour

The top Japanese porn star Minamo has appeared in an advertising campaign for leading Japanese lingerie brand Ravijour.

She is modeling various holidays-themed underwear items that are now available from Ravijour stores and online. She is also holding a promotional meet-and-greet event for the brand in Shinjuku in January, where you even get a signed Minamo-Ravijour mug.

We adore Minamo and she looks ravishing in the Ravijour lingerie, which comes in an erotic red. In keeping with the “holiday collection” theme, the lingerie is festively colored. A Christmas campaign for a mainstream lingerie might initially seem a strange choice, but Christmas in Japan (especially Christmas Eve) is basically a romantic holiday for couples to go on dates. And sex plays a big part of that (love hotels do big business on Christmas Eve).

Most of all, though, we love the mainstream exposure (no pun intended) this campaign brings to a Japanese porn star, who are frequently treated with caution by the media and polite society. Euphemisms like “sexy actress” are common in MM articles and interviews.

To appeal to female customers, Ravijour, like Peach John, commonly uses famous idols, models, and other celebrities. This is the first time we can recall it hiring a major adult video performer to front a campaign.
