Japanese sex doll mistaken for dead body, saved by emergency services

Recently a sex doll was mistaken for a drowned person and the emergency services were called. Cue at least one ambulance, one police car, and two fire service vehicles. With the help of at least one diver, the authorities duly fished the “corpse” out of the water in the bay in Hachinohe, northern Japan.
There must have been many red faces when it was discovered that the “victim” was, in fact, a Dutch wife.
A YouTuber happened to be there and posted about the funny error on Twitter on June 18, which subsequently went viral.
In terms of embarrassment levels, this is probably up there with the time that a man mistook his grandson’s Tenga Cup for a flower vase and promptly used it for the memorial altar of his wife.
