Jun Suehiro makes comeback in self-referential porn after affair with baseball star

Last year, one of the biggest (and most amusing) celebrity sex scandals was the discovery of streamer Junichi Kato’s affair with porn star Ai Hongo.

They were rumbled by social media posts and netizen detectives, who figured out that Kato was watching a baseball game with his lover in the United States. The attention ultimately led to Hongo apologizing and stepping back from releasing further productions for the foreseeable future.

This was followed in January by the scoop that Yokohama DeNA BayStars pitcher Katsuki Azuma was having an affair with porn star Jun Suehiro.

In some way, it might seem strange that these scandals should impact Ai Hongo or Jun Suehiro’s careers, since sex — even adultery — should hardly be a problem for a porn star, who is essentially paid to have sex on a professional basis. It’s well known that adult video stars have sexual relationships and do compensated dating outside of their work partners, and their relationship with fans differs from the intimate and delicate one that, say, music idols and gravure idols have with theirs, which is arguably ruined by the discovery of a lover.

But perhaps this time, it was a scandal because it was just too public and because both Kato and Azuma were married. Even a porn star shouldn’t break up a family, it seems.

We speculated at the time that Ai Hongo could make a comeback in an AV release that played up the circumstances, given Japanese porn’s penchant for parodying current events and cultural developments.

Were the powers that be listening? Possibly, because Jun Suehiro has indeed returned and in a meta-porn production with a self-referential storyline determined to squeeze every marketable drop of juice out of her scandal.

Whereas Ai Hongo has yet (as far as we know) to return to the release schedule, Jun Suehiro’s slate never actually stopped. She has continued to appear in new AVs since her scandal broke, though these productions were almost certainly already shot and ready to go.

This baseball-themed AV is likely the first she made after the scandal broke. It came out in Japan on February 22 and intended for VR viewing.

The premise is a female baseball fan who “eats penis bats.” Sounds pretty close to real life in the case of the star!

It is a hamedori porn, meaning it is shot gonzo-style from the POV of the man having sex with Jun Suehiro.

When she isn’t naked, Suehiro is wearing a baseball jersey that looks suspiciously like a Yokohama Baystars one. Now that’s what we call embracing notoriety!

There is another Baystars-themed AV coming out today from NPJ on streaming that (unless our eyes deceive us) also seems to star Jun Suehiro, though the performer is not credited. Even if it’s not Suehiro, the producers have clearly chosen the scenario and performer based on the scandal.
