Man sends used onahole to anti-chikan molestation campaigners
This is either brutally honest or a great example of trolling.
An Osaka-based organization involved in combating chikan (molesting) on trains received a package in the mail from Tokyo in July. They opened it up to find a used onahole (male masturbator toy) and a letter.
“I released my sexual urges in order not to molest women. I support your efforts.”
The toy, which was wrapped in a clear plastic bag and showed signs of use, was apparently the means for how the sender had released his sexual tension.
He claimed he had used it almost daily for two years before riding a train to prevent himself from molesting a female passenger.
Presuming it’s a prank, the campaigners were less than amused and consulted on the matter to the police and submitted a formal complaint, but Osaka police did not begin an investigation. The incident does not, they said, constitute a crime, nor is it prosecutable as a violation of the Osaka Prefecture nuisance prevention ordinance, not least because the package was not addressed to a specific person.
The head of the organization, who is a woman, recently spoke to online legal media Bengo4 about the incident.
“It’s clearly a sexual assault. The law is wrong if this cannot be punished,” Yayoi Matsunaga of Chikan Yokushi Katsudo Center said. “We are angry that that there is nowhere for us to pursue legal responsibility for this.”
Apparently, if the same kind of parcel is sent several times, the police say they might be able to pursue the matter. However, in this matter, it might be hard to ascertain that anyway, since the man used a fake name for the “sender” label on the package and wrote the address of a feminist publisher. A phone number was included on the label but the woman who answered the number claimed to have nothing to do with the parcel.
Incidentally, for the contents on the package on the label, he wrote: “Letter of support, plastic toy (donation).”
From a professional point of view, we are very keen to find out what type of onahole it was!
