Minami Hamabe reveals nipples in Instagram video

Up-and-coming actress Minami Hamabe is very much in the Emi Takei and Suzu and Alice Hirose “style” of celebrity: admired for her sweet girl-next-door purity.

Of course, that doesn’t mean she’s not a human being with an adult body. As a 21-year-old, she has needs and it would be natural for her to have boyfriends. She was recently forced to deny a rumor that she was in a serious relationship with Ryuga, the 24-year-old vocalist and guitarist of the band Maruritoryuga. Such denials in the Japanese entertainment world often mean little, but we struggle to see why this was even a story.

Netizens, though, have focused on a video Minami Hamabe uploaded to her Instagram account (2.3 million followers!) in which her nipples were poking through her top. (This is nice, but not quite as nice as the nipple visible through Suzu Hirose’s dress during that Shiseido photocall.)

Fans responded with worry to the video, suggesting Minami should delete the video, but she (or her social media account person) responded with the claim that the “nipples” were just the swimsuit she was wearing underneath. That said, the Reels video is no longer available on her Instagram account.
