No, Mitsu Dan is not becoming a politician
Unfortunately this was one tabloid rumor that proved false.
Mitsu Dan is not running for political office. But what a difference she would have made to the corridors of power.
The curvy nude model and actress has denied the suggestions that she was under consideration as a political candidate for summer’s election. Perhaps it was her tacit support for the peace Constitution that spiked her career as a politico? After all, the ruling LDP have mde no secret of their desire to change the Constitution.
Or perhaps it was her habit of stripping nude and appearing in bondage-themed soft-core porn movies? Or maybe it was the lesbian kiss scenes with Rina Aizawa?
But nude scenes in her former career did not stop Mieko Tanaka from embarking on a political career. Actually, there are numerous women in politics with a past career in gravure modeling and other less “respectable” lines of work.
Where did this rumor come from? Possibly some horny comment by a drunk sexagenarian lawmaker in a hostess club in Ginza one day that got picked up by a Nagatacho bod. Someone old Tokyo Sports, who first published the rumor on April 3rd.
It comes on the heels of apparent end of author Hirotada Ototake’s political ambitions. Ototake, who was born without arms and legs, is a famous writer and activist, and he was being considered by the LPD for a candidate. But then the tabloids dug up an uncomfortable truth about the writer, one that proves that even without limbs you still have physical needs. Married with a family, Ototake’s affairs with at least five other women were exposed and later admitted by the writer.
