Otaku moe takes over subway train in Kaohsiung, Taiwan
You’ve heard of itasha cars in Japan.
What about a ita-train?
That’s what they have in Taiwan, where they take moe to extremes on the subway.
The walls, windows and ceiling were decked out in anime characters. Hordes of men were spotted wildly photographing the characters.
There were also some maids there to celebrate the opening.
The characters are the K.R.T. Girls (Xiao Qiong and Emilia), known as Takame Shojo in Japanese, the specially created anime character mascots for the train service in Kaohsiung.
Taiwan has quite a moe fetish, it seems, and previously attracted attention for these anime ladies.
The special subway train runs from July 31st to November 1st in Kaohsiung City, south of Tainan.
