The new official mascot for Shima City in Mie Prefecture is too erotic and has inspired a campaign to get it abolished.
The "ama-moe" character Megu Aoshima eroticizes the ama female free-divers who fish for pearls. Shima is famous for pearl-diving in Ago Bay. It will also host the 2016 G7 Summit, meaning world leaders will get to look on these illustrated hotties.
