Ruri Shinato, Ami Tomite, Misato Morita nude sex scenes in The Naked Director on Netflix

We recently introduced the great Netflix drama series The Naked Director, which charts the rise and fall of adult video legend Toru Muranishi during the 1980s and 1990s.

Now we want to look in more detail at some of the sex and nudity it depicts.

The choice of Netflix to show the series is an apt one, since then it is now bound by the strange rules of mainstream Japanese broadcasting that forbids actual nudity. Being a streaming channel, Netflix can do the subject matter justice by allowing some actual bare flesh on screen.

One of the most naked is the gravure idol Ruri Shinato — long a favorite of ours — who appears in several sex scenes.

Actress Mai Ohtani (大谷麻衣) also has a nude sex scene.

Korean-Japanese actress and model Hyunri shows off her butt.

The lesser-known yet beautiful young actress Misato Morita (森田望智) lets us see what she looks like masturbating in the shower. The scene also includes a realistic period touch in that she has hairy armpits (a running trope in the series). Morita plays Kaoru Kuroki, the eventual AV star.

And finally, ex-AKB48 idol and regular nude Ami Tomite shows off her breasts in a fun scene portraying the grim reality of an outdoors porn shoot.
