Sagami Original 0.01 Condoms: The World’s Thinnest Male Contraceptive
When we think of Japan, we don’t tend to think of condoms.
Far from it, this is the land of thousands of unwanted pregnancies, where most celebrities tend to get married shotgun-style and STDs are rampant.
But one company is fighting this. Sagami is not only doing its utmost to product incredible contraceptive products but is also trying to promote sex in general.
It is part condom maker, part sociology lab. It has set out to investigate the truth about sex in Japan and is responsible for some of the best research done into mainstream sex habits in Japan.
It also produces the best quality contraceptives in the country.
Sagami has already had a big hit with its ultra-thin 0.02 condoms. As the name suggests, these prophylactics are just 0.02mm in thickness.
Now Sagami has spent ten years developing the world’s thinnest condoms, the Sagami Original 0.01 Condoms. They have been specially developed high polyurethane material rather than the conventional rubber.
While still available in certain drug stores in Japan, these took the country by storm and have basically sold out from my outlets. They are particularly hard to get online but KanojoToys has managed to find a supply.
Though not partial to using condoms, we tried on the Original 0.01 and found they did indeed live up to the hype. We hardly knew they were there at all.

$62 for a pack of 5? o.O

Yes, they don’t come cheap, if you excuse the pun. Supplies right now are not easy to come by so prices are not at their most competitive, it seems. Even within Japan it is nigh impossible to buy the condoms online at the moment!
Seems like dream come true but since new materials are used it would need more lab testings and convincing that it is STD particularly HIV proof
