Sex with dinosaurs at a love hotel in Tokyo

Did you know, there’s a dinosaur-themed love hotel in Machida?

If you’re brave enough to visit the Hotel Artia Dinosaur in the Tokyo suburb, you will have to navigate some prehistoric creatures guarding the building. We wonder what Steven Spielberg thinks about all this.

Inside, you can enjoy everything from hookah to billiards, golf, and bouldering. Also sex, of course, which doesn’t require any extra equipment — just your body.

Hopefully fossils are not lurking in the beds to poke you in sensitive places. We also presume that there are no large dinosaur models in the actual guest rooms, so anyone hoping to try interspecies sex may be disappointed!

The hotel reopened after renovations on September 16. The owners claim there are 50 dinos waiting to greet visitors. Intriguingly, they also say the hotel is not just a love hotel for couples but also an attraction suitable for families to bring young kids.

We recently learned of this hotel thanks to Ambroise Velvet, who usually spends her time on Twitter documenting her amusing encounters with Japanese men on Tinder, but shared these striking images of the Artia (and the nearby Hotel Cue Sea Stork, which looks like a ship) when she was apparently passing through (but not checking in).

Japanese love hotels are famed for their remarkably outlandish themes, though the most incredible tend to be in more rural or suburban regions. While there are clusters of love hotels in urban areas like Shibuya and Ueno, they are relatively conventional.

Incidentally, dinosaur sex is an idea once used to sell condoms in Japan.
