Sex and the disabled in Japan: Demonstration videos
This is something we don’t talk about enough on this blog: sex and the disabled.
Luckily, the non-profit NOIR is doing work to raise awareness of the issue.
Since the release of film The Sessions, the idea of how disabled people can have sex drives has gained more positive traction in America.
What about Japan?
Of course, sex dolls were once available as “rental” and some of the main clients were disabled men who could not have sex otherwise.
In Japan, the film Caterpillar took the theme of a disabled war veteran and his sex drive to an extreme.
More recently, the low-budget Minorities and Sex: Strictly Personal Way of Love also addressed the issue.
NOIR have even made a demonstration video of a disabled man having sex with an able-bodied woman to show the kind of positions that are possible.
NOIR also made this extraordinary video — and got YouTube permission — giving a serious, graphic demonstration of how a disabled guy can masturbate and use sex toys like Tenga (Tenga has long been touted as a great way for non-able people to enjoy themselves).
Vice Japan, in their usual faux “it’s not sensationalist” way, also made this documentary a while back about Japanese sex therapists for disabled men who cannot masturbate alone.
The service profiled is run by a non-profit called White Hands, who are also behind the nude sketching classes offered for male virgins.
