A new ordinance has been passed by the Japanese government stating that extreme sexual acts such as rape, incest and other illegal sexual acts in anime and manga will be regulated as of April of 2011. The Japan Times reports that while the ordinance is not a law, the industry will be forced to "self-regulate" any and all sex acts seen as too extreme by the government. They will also be called upon to prevent the purchase of said material by those under the age of 18. The anime and manga community are taking this very seriously and several large manga production companies have even ...

As we rapidly approach Halloween, I thought I'd like to highlight some of the Japanese costumes that I've seen around the interwebs. Mind you these lovely ladies don't need a holiday to dress up. Here's a little sample in honor of Halloween for this year round past time for so many gorgeous geeks. Some of which are actually what you'd call Cosplay Queens. They appear at cosplay conventions as celebrities and are constantly doing photoshoots that they put on their personal websites or group websites like CosRain.Com If you really think about it these girls are practically ...

Yes, I know. Us Japanese are a strange bunch. There are plenty of folks who like used panties of course. And there are even people who like refrigerated panties! A hot day? You want an ice cream? A cool drink? No, let's get some nicely chilled panties! Yes, for 980 yen (about $11.60) you can get yourself a pair of refrigerated girls' panties in either pink, blue or mint green. Blue is apparently the most popular! Personally I can't think of a better thing for the last humid weeks of summer! I know what part of me gets the most hot on a sweaty day! It's still over thirty here in Tokyo ...

We all know about maid cafes. But what about us girls? Sure, there are host clubs but some of us don't actually like guys with ridiculous orange hair cuts, up-themselves attitudes -- and then paying huge bills for the privilege! Fear not, there are Otouto Cafe (Little Brother Cafe) for us ladies! One example is the Cafe B's Prince, a concept cafe opened last year. The staff are actually girls but dressed as boys. This is basically more a cosplay cafe catering (no pun!) to fujoshi manga fans (um, semi-lesbians who like girls dressed as boys). There is a whole spate of these ...

What can I say? Boys always love girls, especially the virtual kind. Especially the virtual kind you can touch on large screens. First Konami brought out Love Plus on the touchscreen iPhone. Then came the vacation tour. Now here's the arcade game. It's only a trial version but we can already see how the Akihabara boys will adore this! Each female character has her own machine. And the girls are dressed in skimpy swimsuits or, even better, wearing eye masks. They can't see where you touch! Sadly this was just a two-day trial last weekend in Akihabara but I'm sure it's just ...

On a shopping trip in lovely Akihabara, Tokyo, we came across this wonderful bargain! We found the panties and bras section, and amused ourselves imagining what cuties could be wearing these for us one day. There were the expected sexy ones... But, more interestingly, this underwear set for men! Would you fancy putting this on? We also like how the gentleman on the packaging appears to be wearing the bright pink lingerie over his suit! Now that would get people's attention on the rush hour ...

Lisa Katayama's recent New York Times story on one man's relationship with an anime girl-printed pillow has been making waves in the English blogosphere, and those waves have finally made it back to Japanese shores. What did the infamous Japanese BBS 2chan have to say about this? The most sensical, entertaining comments on the boards, not in any particular order or threading. "I agree, he should go see a doctor" "It's far too late for a doctor" "C'mon, it's not just Japan that has things like this. Everywhere has them to some degree." "Japanese people also recoil from things ...
