The Japanese cosplay world was in shock on June 29th when one of the most up-and-coming cosplayers, Nekomu Otogi, announced her surprise marriage at the age of just 20.

Japan's best-known adult brand, Tenga, has once again inspired some nice cosplay.
There's something about the vibrant colors and naughtiness of the Tenga onacup that seems to capture people's imaginatinon, from porn star Mana Sakura to ordinary costumers on the streets during Halloween.
This time it's Minami Iida (aka Gohan-chan) who has transformed herself into an "anthropomorphized" Tenga. She posted the results online earlier this month.

Every now and then, Japan's character artists create something truly awesome and original, and which captures the imagination of people around the world.
Take Calne Ca by Deino, an idol with a mechanized calcium skeleton (hence the "Ca" in the name). The character -- a favorite of ambitious cosplayers -- is derived from the Vocaloid idol Hatsune Miku. Her name is pronounced Karune Shii-e.

It seems that the world can't get enough of the alluring world of Manabu Koga's Underwater Knee-High Girls.
After first seducing us in 2013, the conceit of having cute girls in slinky swimming costumes and knee-high socks shot underwater has not got old.
In fact, as Koga has added gimmicks like props and worked with the likes of "flat-chested" lingerie designer Gomi Hayakawa. Shibuya was an insane spectacle last night, with tens of thousands of revellers out for Halloween -- many of them wearing all variety of costume.
As expected, Halloween in Tokyo has less to do with Hallows' Eve than with cosplay for its own sake. And so you get almost every type of costume imaginable. Many are very sexy -- you can see A LOT of legs and some butts on display -- and others are very funny and satirical.
