The gravure idol and actor Asuka Kishi has returned to the pages of Weekly Playboy for the first time in six years.
The 33-year-old Asuka Kishi has focused more on acting roles of late, landing a number of credits in TV dramas. Known for her H cup, she made her debut in 2012. Her last print photo book was Culmination, which came out in 2022.
The mini-comeback shoot appears in the Weekly Playboy issue that went on sale on October 7. A digital photo book is also now on sale.
It's not the cover shoot -- that honor goes to Mizuho Habu, formerly of Sakurazaka46 -- but it's one of ...

September 4, 2024
/ Tadashi Anahori
Weekly Playboy has collaborated with three of the hottest gravure idols of the moment for a lineup of T-shirts produced by sneaker brand KIKS TYO.
The resulting photo shoots are a kind of face-off between the trio. Who looks the best with sneakers hanging from their body?
Here's delightful Cocoro Toyoshima, available in pink or blue sneaker versions.
And here's comely Ina Enohara.
And finally, this is the lovely Yuzuha Hongo.
If you wanted to get your chance on the Cocoro Toyoshima T-shirts (available in white or black and various sizes), you're probably out of luck. ...
Yuka Iguchi shows off her beach body with first gravure magazine shoot
August 9, 2024
/ Tadashi Anahori
She might have turned 36 but voice actress Yuka Iguchi still looks incredibly youthful, attractive, and bursting with joie de vivre.
The Japanese voice actress recently celebrated 20 years in the entertainment industry with the release of her first photo book. The aptly titled More More More came out via major publisher Kadokawa in April.
She has continued to showcase this newly sensual side with a summer shoot that really lets you see what a great, healthy body she has: slim waist, big tits, (somewhat) curvy thighs.
This is apparently her first ever gravure shoot for a weekly ...
37-year-old Rei Toda marks 20 years of gravure
June 26, 2024
/ Tadashi Anahori
We love a good comeback story at Tokyo Kinky. Just a few days ago, we posted ravishing images of Rina Koike's first photo book in eight years and which marks the veteran idol's 30th birthday.
Today, it's the turn of Rei Toda, who has made a gravure comeback with a sensual shoot for the June 17 issue of Weekly Playboy and an accompanying digital photo book.
Now aged 37, Rei Toda is in the heartland of jukujo territory, but hasn't let herself go at all. She still has a slender and alluring body, and a knowing face. She's definitely seen some action over the years.
We love how hot she ...
We wrote yesterday about the very welcome return of Rina Aizawa, who is releasing her first gravure photo book in 12 years -- and it is supposed to be her most nude one yet.
Today, we have the opposite kind of news. The 27-year-old gravure idol and actress Yuki Kiyose is to retire from gravure modeling and focus on her acting.
She has announced that her final event will be a promo for a calendar on April 30 in Akihabara.
Her last shoot appears in Weekly Playboy (the same issue that features the Rina Aizawa photo book preview pics), which is also a photo book published by the magazine ...
Rina Aizawa to release first gravure photo book in 12 years
March 27, 2024
/ Tadashi Anahori
We like a good comeback story here at Tokyo Kinky and especially love to welcome back ladies we haven't seen in a while (hello, Aya Ueto!).
Rina Aizawa has focused on her acting in recent years, including plenty of roles in TV dramas -- including some that involve (non-nude) sex scenes.
And so it is a delight to hear that she will release her first photo book in 12 years. She is publicizing her return with a shoot in the current issue of Weekly Playboy.
To be accurate, she hasn't been away from gravure all these years. She did a Weekly Playboy cover shoot in summer 2022, for instance, ...
We always like to welcome back old friends at Tokyo Kinky. Haruka Ayase's return to gravure, while quite modest, recently put a big smile on our faces.
And so it is with a little squeal of glee that we greet the gravure comeback of Miwako Kakei.
The Terrace House alum was a big gravure idol in the mid-2010s but has been content to plow a trade as a regular model, celebrity, and actress in more recent times. (Her acting gigs have particularly picked up in the past few years, especially for TV dramas.)
For whatever the reason, she has gone back to what she was originally good at, and is ...
Weekly Playboy celebrates anniversary with photo shoot featuring 57 gravure idols
November 3, 2023
/ Tadashi Anahori
Long-running gravure magazine Weekly Playboy is celebrating its 57th anniversary with a photo shoot featuring the titular number of up-and-coming gradols.
The 57 nubile ladies appeared in white swimsuits in a classroom and other settings in the ambitious photo shoot.
Most of the idols are lesser-known names just starting out on their careers.
There is also an accompanying video showing some behind-the-scenes footage.
The "Nippon gravure" shoot, which was done by veteran gradol photographer Luckman, is published over 16 pages of the November 13, 2023, issue, which has Hina ...
TV announcer Akane Takiyama makes gravure debut
June 7, 2023
/ Tadashi Anahori
Akane Takiyama (瀧山あかね) is the latest Japanese TV announcer trying to forge a concurrent career in gravure.
She works as an announcer for shows on ABEMA (she joined the streamer in 2018) and is a former NMB48 "research student" (in 2011 and 2012, while in high school). The 29-year-old has now branched out into gravure with a cover shoot for Weekly Playboy that is making waves and rapidly expanding her fandom.
In the summery swimwear shoot for a June issue of Weekly Playboy, she is channeling some Kyoko Fukada vibes with a sporty beach body and radiant, smiling ...
Fully AI-created gravure idol looks uncannily similar to real gravure model
June 2, 2023
/ Tadashi Anahori
Back in 2011, AKB48 briefly seemed to be on the cusp of some sort of technological tipping point when it played with a fully digital member of the group. Sadly, or not, Aimi Eguchi was created just for an ad campaign and this "digital idol" trend didn't continue.
Instead, we got dribs and drabs of sensational digitally created idols like Saya, the ultra-realistic schoolgirl who wasn't real, and were teased with an all-digital supergroup.
The VR boom in the 2010s also seemed to be a major new chapter in the relationship between sex and technology (not least, its implications for watching ...
