We've been tinkering with this list of Japanese movie sex scenes for a long, long time, and finally think it's ready to share with readers.
What follows is a highly subjective list -- more our personal favorites than anything else -- and, for convenience sake, restricts itself to just the past 20 years or so. We will also continue to update it.
It was intended as an expansion or continuation of our previous list of Japanese actresses who are happy to do sex scenes -- there are fewer than you might think! -- and just grew from there.

We've previously showcased the lovely talents of the grossly under-known actress Yoko Mitsuya.
She has a very nice butt (one of our weaknesses!) and was one of the ladies with their flesh on display in the recent movie Ai no uzu (Love's Whirlpool).
While Ai no uzu was highly erotic, the lion share of the nudity was handled by Mugi Kadowaki.

A new film is about to be released that promises, so its marketers say, to have only 18 minutes of clothed scenes in its 123-minute running time.
Ai no Uzu (Love's Whirlpool) is written and directed by Daisuke Miura, adapted from his award-winning 2006 play that won him the top drama prize in Japan and has since been performed in Europe.
It depicts a Kabukicho sex club where singletons and couples gather to share their bodies. Miura is no stranger to visiting such establishments himself, so the rumors have it, so no doubt the portrayal is realistic.
