Taipei subway to release metro cards with Japanese porn star Yui Hatano
We already know that the subway in Taiwan can get pretty moe and kinky.
But did you know it also gets pornographic?
The Taipei subway will release metro cards on September 1st featuring the Japanese porn actress Yui Hatano.
There had been an outcry to the promo and at one point the subway operators in the Taiwanese capital said the cards would be withdrawn.
But then clearly Yui’s Taiwanese fans decided to stick to their guns.
The mayor of Taipei has criticized the scheme, though some of the money raised is expected to go to charity.
Hatano, a 2014 Japan Adult Award winner, was nonplussed by the controversy.
“Just because I am an adult video porn star… does it mean that I cannot pay a debt of gratitude to my beloved Taiwan?” she was quoted as saying.
The metro cards are produced by EasyCard and feature Yui in “angel” or “devil” costumes looking sultry. (We know another Japanese porn star with a similarly double personality.)
There is apparently no actual nudity or pornographic content on the cards.
Still we think public transport will get that little bit more crowded after Yui arrives.
