The Tenga Men’s Loupe Sperm Viewer is a very easy way to check out your sperm count. Sure, it’s not a medically approved device and shouldn’t be used like contraception (“Hey, my sperm seems dead, let’s rock!”), but it is a fun and fast way to transform your phone into a sperm magnifier.
Don’t worry, your phone doesn’t get messy either and you can use a cup and dropper to make things feel really scientific.
It has a set-up with different plates and the magnifier that ensures you put a drop of your semen on the sheet but it doesn’t actually touch your camera lens.
The result is you can then use your camera to view a close-up of your future family. No app or special technology required!
We have seen these kinds of “magnifier” toys before but they tend to be old and sold out now. It’s great that Tenga have revitalized the genre.
Ironically, Tenga’s “loupe” (magnifying glass) comes out at almost the same time as a Japanese iPhone app called Seem, which was released in April. Costing a might ¥5,000 for the full kit and available in limited numbers from certain clinics in and around Tokyo, Seem also allows you to check your sperm count using your phone camera. Clearly this is a growing issue and we may see more and more of these items.
