Top Japanese cosplayer Enako poses as semi-nude mermaid in stunning photo shoot
The Japanese cosplayer Enako has answered her fans’ prayers and posed semi-nude for a photo shoot in the March 11th issue of Weekly Playboy magazine.
The shoot is a promotional preview of her first photo book “Mermaid Princess.” Not surprisingly, there is a marine theme — perfect for relieving us of our winter blues — and Enako is dressed up as an alluring mermaid.
Born in 1994, Enako is often spoken of as Japan’s “top cosplayer” today. And it pays. Enako recently revealed that she earns over ¥1 million (over $9,000) a month, which is a heck of a lot more than most cosplayers, gravure idols, or adult video stars. She famously attracts massive crowds when she appears at Comiket.
Though she has gained a major following in the past three or four years, Enako was already regarded as a popular cosplayer back in 2012.
