Trying nyotaimori in Tokyo
Nyotaimori is one of those urban myth sex fantasies that only seems to happen in movies or manga. It’s not even certain whether it has any real historical basis, though this hasn’t stopped foreign movies and TV presenting it as a fundamental example of Japanese kinkiness.
Of course, there are places where you can try eating sushi or sashimi off a naked woman’s body.
It has become a rather cheesy ritual that sometimes happens at certain parties, though the aptly named Nyotaimori Tokyo offers a “fashionable” dispatch service where they send a naked female food plate to your destination.
It started in February 2015 and its target is unashamedly not Japanese audiences, but foreign residents and tourists.
Nyotaimori Tokyo recently held a reception party at Rose Tokyo in Nishi-Azabu. As you can see from the photos, it wasn’t just about the naked human sushi plate but also the live music and other elements in the space, like the retro food stalls.
Essentially this is a 30-minute show that should keep your taste buds happy and perhaps some other parts of your appetite. Just don’t expect any “dessert” from the female model after the main course has been removed from her body.
