TV announcer Yukari Oshima releases debut photo book
Japanese announcers are the ladies to follow if you want intelligence and grace.
Forget the gravure idols and all their busty, curvy charms. Forget the porn stars with their sexual prowess. Forget the music idols and their cute girl-next-door looks.
It’s the announcers that everyone really wants to marry. Case in point, the wildly popular Minami Tanaka.
The 37-year-old Yukari Oshima (大島由香里) has now released her first photo book as part of her new stage in her career.
Married to a figure skated from 2016 to 2019 and now a freelance announcer, Oshima already wowed the internet (and us) when she made her gravure debut last year.
Oshima released a photo book, “monologue,” which was shot in Okinawa and came out from Kodansha on February 22. The 128-page book includes shots of Oshima in lingerie and swimwear.
Once again, she uses her naked back to impressive effect.
“monologue” apparently entered the weekly sales chart at a modest number six, so Oshima still has some work to do to catch up with Minami Tanaka, whose photo book was a huge bestseller.
