What do Japanese girls think of dating foreign guys?

That is a question that is often on our minds.

The girls we tend to see with foreign guys around Tokyo can very roughly be divided into two social categories:

(1) Very middle-class and “normal”, even a little conservative

(2) Very outgoing and non-Japanese, like a “party girl”.

Now we’re not saying there aren’t some ladies that have a bit of both “category” in them or who don’t fit into either properly, but that seems to hold true as a general rule.

Well, this (Japanese) guy has interviewed a bunch of girls on the streets of the capital to find out what they think of foreign men and whether or not they would be willing to date one.

As you will see, the girls come across as very open-minded and willing to date foreigners.

Some are worried about culture and value clashes, and marriage is another step, but dating is apparently not such a biggie. Judging from this tiny sample, white Americans who aren’t too dominant seem the most popular choices!

Sadly, the conversation stops at dating. Where’s the follow-up video about sex?!
