Yukipoyo continues comeback with (almost) nude shoot

A drugs scandal has spelled the end of many celebrities’ careers in Japan. Only a lucky few have managed to crawl back into the limelight and it took a lot of time.

As we blogged in late March, the gyaru model and tarento Yukipoyo (Yuki Kimura) seemed to run into an insurmountable snag in her burgeoning career when her apparent boyfriend was busted for drugs — with her in attendance.

The Japanese-Filipino recently made a tearful apology on TV and, even more effectively, landed a new promotional gig with a gym chain and launched a photo book with even more provocative shots than before (despite being no stranger to posing in very skimpy attire).

Well, she’s gone even further. No, not a full-frontal nude shoot as we had hoped, but a semi-nude one that is about as naked as she can get without revealing actual genitalia.

Published this week in the tabloid magazine Weekly Flash, she is lying nude on her back with carefully placed hibiscus flowers covering her breasts and crotch. Yukipoyo is newly slim after her gym regime as the ambassador for Rizap.

Her third photo book, shot in Okinawa, came out this week (this shot may well appear).

The 25-year-old has been busy of late. She also did a shoot for weekly magazine Friday earlier in May.

And these (possible previews or rejected shots from the photo book) are from yet another recent spread in a magazine.

What we hoping all this means is that, with enough gumption, there is a way back in for the likes of Erika Sawajiri, whose drug arrest and conviction forced her to retire from the entertainment industry. Erika, who has done nude scenes in at least a couple of films, could perhaps relaunch her career with a hair nude (full-frontal) photo shoot in her thirties.
